Nice to see that, in spite of a more than three week outage, people immediately jumped back into the fray as soon as the Shilshole Blog came back online.

What happened, you ask? Our hosting provider screwed up big time, that’s what happened. Some of you may have noticed that the page that came up the last couple of weeks mentioned something about the shilsholecommunity.org domain being expired in the future… (?!?). Well, this was the last straw for this provider. I’m not even going to give them free publicity, all I’ll say is the owner’s name: Simon Webb…. caveat emptor.

In the next week, I’ll take the site down one more time, to migrate to another host (Dreamhost), which I have used for over a year for another organization, and has demonstrated a much, much higher service quality level.

So, please bear with me, and I promise a much improved Shilshole Blog experience.

Lets start a contest…..

I’m thinking something along the lines of the either the most creative use of the Orange tag, or the most tags collected.

I just acquired 5 of them yesterday and have not decided what to do with them yet. I’m sure they will make there way into this years X-mas decorations somehow.
