Reported crimes at SBM 5/06/24- 6/01/24 (*updated 6/04/24)

Crimes reported to the POSPD at Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 5/06/24 at 17:00 hours and 5/27/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 and Officer Hilgers of the Port of Seattle Police

1) 2024-039165 – Vehicle Theft. Resident reported their vehicle had been stolen on 5/11. Vehicle was parked across from Docks T and U earlier in the day and was gone upon resident returning.

2) 2024-039962 – Property Damage: Damage to dinghy on Q dock reported on 5/13. Resident observed damage starboard side of their vessel between occurring sometime between 5/10 – 5/11.

3)“Attempted Prowl” On 5/13, a resident interrupted a vehicle prowl in progress involving their vehicle by Q Dock. The resident observed a suspicious male attempt to enter the passenger side of their vehicle. The resident yelled at the male resulting in him fleeing the area. Small amount of damage resulted however no items nor the vehicle were taken.

4) “Theft” On 5/17, a resident reported their vessel’s steering wheel cover had been taken. The vessel was docked on E dock.

5)“Prowl” On 5/20, reporting party advised their vehicle had been prowled. Report is currently being written therefore I do not have any additional information at this time.

6) 5/25 around 0739 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen

7) 5/26 around 0817 hours, a vehicle prowl was reported. The suspect was captured on surveillance; however, it was not clear enough to identify the individual.

8) 5/26 around 1223 hours, another vehicle prowl was reported.

9) 5/26 around 1825 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen overnight. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

10) 5/26 around 1900 hours, a welfare check was requested. The individual was okay but had hurt their head. They were transported to the hospital.

11) 5/27 around 1510 hours, it was reported there was a suicidal subject. Officers contacted the individual and they were transported to the hospital.

12) “Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 5/29, a resident reported their vehicle missing which had been parked near the ‘K’ Dock.

13) “Stolen Vehicle Recovered” x2. While on proactive patrol (5/29 and 6/1), two stolen vehicles were discovered at SBM. Both vehicles were released to their rightful owners.

**THERE WERE SEVERAL POSTS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT GAS THEFTS INVOLVING SIPHONING/TANK DRILLING THAT WERE NOT REPORTED TO POSPD. PLEASE REPORT THESE INCIDENTS TO POSP!!**

If you’re concerned with illegally parked or nuisance vehicles parked on Seaview Ave NW please download and use the Find It, Fix It app to your Android or IOS phone and report them. The more these vehicles are reported the more chance something will be done to move them along. Also report illegally parked vehicles to 206-386-9012 and 206-625-5011. Be sure to include info on expired plates, environmental hazards (propane, fuel cans, leaking substances, dumping) and esp detached trailers.
