KING5.com King County Council to vote on Shilshole Water Taxi
SEATTLE – The King County Council is scheduled to vote Monday on the final report on expanding water taxi service.
The report identified three potential routes:
City of Seattle forces Ballard Kayak to move off the water at Shilshole due to the new Shoreline Management rules. See attached KIRO video for details…
The focus this evening was on security in the marina due to the rash of car thefts, bike thefts, and vehicle smash and grabs. It was more of a roundtable discussion for everyone to express their concerns and hear any Port suggestions. Many suggestions are common-sense, but need repeating.
Hello Neighbors…we heard through the Ballard District Council that there is a Foulweather Coat Drive to help the homeless. If you have some unused foulies that you want to donate, please see the attached…

Thank you to all that participated in last nights Solstice Party!
Unfortunately, due to the nasty weather at 4pm, the parade didn’t happen . It did clear out by 5:30, but by then everyone had made their decision.
We had about 25 people at CYC for the party afterwards…great to meet new faces. Thank you to all that brought a potluck item to share and for everyone’s generosity that filled a large tub of food donations for the Ballard Food Bank!
