Hopefully all the issues caused by the possible cyberattack on the port will be resolved soon. Crimes reported to the POSPD at Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 8/01/24 at 17:00 hours and 8/19/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 and Officer Hilgers of the Port of Seattle Police
1) 8/4 at 0855 hours, a vehicle was reported prowled. No suspect information, a report was generated.
2) 8/4 at 0505 hours, it was reported that a vehicle had their gas siphoned with damage to the vehicle. There was no suspect information, a report was generated.
3) “Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 8/12, a resident reported their vehicle had been stolen.
Between 8/05 at 17:00 hours and 8/12 at 17:00 hours, there were 15 Area Checks (Business Checks included)
4)“Attempted Vehicle Theft/Vehicle Prowl” On 8/13, a resident reported their vehicle had been prowled while it had been parked near the ‘O’ Dock.
5)“Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 8/13, a resident reported their vehicle had been stolen while it was parked near the ‘T’ Dock.
Between 8/12 at 17:00 hours and 8/19 at 17:00 hours, there were 14 Area Checks (Business Checks included)

Crimes reported to the POSPD at Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 7/01/24 at 17:00 hours and 7/31/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 and Officer Hilgers of the Port of Seattle Police.
1) 7/3 at 1513 hours, a complaint came in that the U Dock has a private business operating which has caused damage or at minimum collisions with boats parked on U dock. Officer Freutel, who is a member of the POSPD boat team, left a voicemail with the complainant.
2) 7/4 at 0706 hours, a welfare check was requested. The individual did not have any prior trespass admonishments with Shilshole. The individual was cleared by POSPD and left the property.
3) 7/4 at 0940 hours, it was reported there was an individual parked and asleep with possible paraphernalia next to him. There was no PC for physical control or DUI. The individual was checked and was okay.
4) 7/4 at 1142 hours, Officer Leroux responded for a parking complaint of a vehicle parked in a load zone for 3 days. This load zone cannot be enforced by the police department because it is a private load zone. It was referred to Shilshole who has a contract with a tow company if Shilshole decided to tow the vehicle.
5) 7/5 at 2225 hours, a vehicle prowl was reported. The individual had damaged the door lock and the ignition to the point the vehicle was undrivable. I took a report on this incident
7/08/24-715/24 –No significant events reported this week. There were 15 area checks.
7/15/24-722/24- 20 Area Checks
6) 7/20 at 1927 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen from the U Dock area. A report was generated, and the vehicle was entered into WACIC/NCIC as stolen. There was no surveillance in the area to capture the theft.
7/22/24 at 17:00 hours and 7/29/24 at 17:00 hours, there were 16 Area Checks (Business Checks included) with no ‘Significant Events’ reported
7 7/31 at 2118 hours, a welfare check was requested for an individual on the sidewalk. He declined medical aid and was asked to leave the area, he complied.

Tune in to the vMan radio net Mondays at 8pm on VHF Ch.71 if you have any questions. If POSPD are able, they will join in on the net.
1) On 6/3 at 1737 hours, a stroller and bike was reported stolen. Officers contacted an individual and observed the stroller was not on scene and the green bike was not present. The owner of the items could not be reached, no probable cause existed at that time.
2) During an area check on 6/5, Officers contacted several occupied vehicles, the individuals were reported to have legitimate business.
3)On 6/6 between 1858 to 2136 hours, Officers responded to two vehicles that had their windows broken. Reports were generated.
4)On 6/7 at 0915 hours, a license plate was reported stolen off a vehicle. It was entered as stolen in NCIC
5)“Theft of Fuel” On 6/13, a resident reported fuel had been stolen from their vehicle which had been parked near the ‘P’ Dock.
6) Vehicle Prowl” On 6/17, a resident reported their vehicle had been prowled near the ‘J’ dock.
7)“Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 6/20, a vehicle was stolen near the ‘F’ dock.
8)“Theft” On 6/21, a resident report their vehicle’s license plates had been stolen.
9)“Disturbance” On 6/23, Officers were dispatched to SBM regarding two individuals attempting to enter SBM Office. One of the individuals damaged a Port sign as they fled from Police upon their arrival. The individual was located and arrested.
10)“Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 6/27, a resident reported their vehicle had been stolen from near the ‘F’ dock.
11)“Vehicle Prowl” On 6/29, SBM security discovered a vehicle had been prowled near the ‘B’ dock. A window had been smashed and several items taken from the vehicle.
The following occurred during the last week of June but no dates/times were given:
–Reckless Driving/DUI: Officer Schmidt observed a recklessly driven vehicle in front of the marina, going well above the speed limit. A stop was made and the driver was eventually arrested for DUI. Booked into jail.
–Malicious Mischief/Trespass: Security called to report two males unlawfully at the marina who had damaged a sign. Officers arrived and both suspects fled on foot. One suspect was caught. The suspect who was caught was cited and released due to jail restrictions.
–Vehicle Theft: Officer Dacey investigated a vehicle theft from the parking lot.
–Theft of License Plates: Officer Perreira investigated a theft of license plates from the parking lot.

Crimes reported to the POSPD at Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 5/06/24 at 17:00 hours and 5/27/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 and Officer Hilgers of the Port of Seattle Police
1) 2024-039165 – Vehicle Theft. Resident reported their vehicle had been stolen on 5/11. Vehicle was parked across from Docks T and U earlier in the day and was gone upon resident returning.
2) 2024-039962 – Property Damage: Damage to dinghy on Q dock reported on 5/13. Resident observed damage starboard side of their vessel between occurring sometime between 5/10 – 5/11.
3)“Attempted Prowl” On 5/13, a resident interrupted a vehicle prowl in progress involving their vehicle by Q Dock. The resident observed a suspicious male attempt to enter the passenger side of their vehicle. The resident yelled at the male resulting in him fleeing the area. Small amount of damage resulted however no items nor the vehicle were taken.
4) “Theft” On 5/17, a resident reported their vessel’s steering wheel cover had been taken. The vessel was docked on E dock.
5)“Prowl” On 5/20, reporting party advised their vehicle had been prowled. Report is currently being written therefore I do not have any additional information at this time.
6) 5/25 around 0739 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen
7) 5/26 around 0817 hours, a vehicle prowl was reported. The suspect was captured on surveillance; however, it was not clear enough to identify the individual.
8) 5/26 around 1223 hours, another vehicle prowl was reported.
9) 5/26 around 1825 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen overnight. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
10) 5/26 around 1900 hours, a welfare check was requested. The individual was okay but had hurt their head. They were transported to the hospital.
11) 5/27 around 1510 hours, it was reported there was a suicidal subject. Officers contacted the individual and they were transported to the hospital.
12) “Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 5/29, a resident reported their vehicle missing which had been parked near the ‘K’ Dock.
13) “Stolen Vehicle Recovered” x2. While on proactive patrol (5/29 and 6/1), two stolen vehicles were discovered at SBM. Both vehicles were released to their rightful owners.

If you’re concerned with illegally parked or nuisance vehicles parked on Seaview Ave NW please download and use the Find It, Fix It app to your Android or IOS phone and report them. The more these vehicles are reported the more chance something will be done to move them along. Also report illegally parked vehicles to 206-386-9012 and 206-625-5011. Be sure to include info on expired plates, environmental hazards (propane, fuel cans, leaking substances, dumping) and esp detached trailers.

The following are the statistics for Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 4/29/24 at 17:00 hours and 5/6/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 of the Port of Seattle Police
1) “Theft” A nearby business advised they observed an individual in possession of a Port of Seattle Dock Cart on 4/30. Units arrived and conducted an area check for the individual but were unable to locate them.
2) “Stolen Vehicle” A vehicle was reported stolen on 5/2/24. A Shilshole resident had parked their vehicle across from ‘P’ dock on 5/1. Approximately 24 hours later, the vehicle was realized to be missing.
3) “Vehicle Recovery” The above vehicle was located, recovered, and released to the Shilshole Resident on 5/4.

The following are the “Significant Event” statistics for Shilshole Bay Marina between 4/15/24 at 17:00 hours and 4/22/24 at 17:00 as provide by Officer T. Enter & Officer Hilgers of the POSP.
1) “Disturbance” reported on 4/15. An individual was reported to be yelling at nearby pedestrians and causing a disturbance near ‘U’ Dock. Officers responded and were successfully able to calm the individual down. No crime occurred.
2) On 4/24 around 2040 hours, a welfare check was requested on an individual outside the main office. Officers contacted the subject who departed without incident. Subject was warned that they need to have official business if they go into any of the businesses.
3) On 4/26 around 2143 hours, a vehicle was reported stolen. Vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen, victim was given a ride to downtown Seattle.
4) On 4/28 around 1324 hours, someone reported their gas tank had been drilled. No surveillance was in the area, report completed.

1) 4/8/24 around 1939 hours, two individuals were contacted in the parking lot. The subjects left the property.
2) 4/14/24 around 1119 hours. Gas theft. A report was completed.

Crime stats for Shilshole Bay Marina 03/25/24 17:30 hours to 04/08/2024 17:30 hours.
1)Welfare check reported on 3/29 at 1507 hours. An unknown male came up to a resident to report they were hallucinating. SFD responded and the individual was transported to the hospital with AMR ambulance.
2)Suicidal ideations reported on 3/29 at 1739 hours. The individual got medical assistance and was transported to the hospital by AMR ambulance.
3)Unsafe boating reported on 3/30 at 2157 hours. Four juveniles and a young adult took out a boat which was dangerous based on their skill level. The USGC twice assisted them after they broke down in the bay. They were towed into the Marina, and given rides back to their parents.
