Crimes reported to the POSPD at Shilshole Bay Marina (SBM) between 6/01/24 at 17:00 hours and 7/01/24 at 17:00 hours as reported by Officer T. Enter #363 and Officer Hilgers of the Port of Seattle Police.
Tune in to the vMan radio net Mondays at 8pm on VHF Ch.71 if you have any questions. If POSPD are able, they will join in on the net.
1) On 6/3 at 1737 hours, a stroller and bike was reported stolen. Officers contacted an individual and observed the stroller was not on scene and the green bike was not present. The owner of the items could not be reached, no probable cause existed at that time.
2) During an area check on 6/5, Officers contacted several occupied vehicles, the individuals were reported to have legitimate business.
3)On 6/6 between 1858 to 2136 hours, Officers responded to two vehicles that had their windows broken. Reports were generated.
4)On 6/7 at 0915 hours, a license plate was reported stolen off a vehicle. It was entered as stolen in NCIC
5)“Theft of Fuel” On 6/13, a resident reported fuel had been stolen from their vehicle which had been parked near the ‘P’ Dock.
6) Vehicle Prowl” On 6/17, a resident reported their vehicle had been prowled near the ‘J’ dock.
7)“Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 6/20, a vehicle was stolen near the ‘F’ dock.
8)“Theft” On 6/21, a resident report their vehicle’s license plates had been stolen.
9)“Disturbance” On 6/23, Officers were dispatched to SBM regarding two individuals attempting to enter SBM Office. One of the individuals damaged a Port sign as they fled from Police upon their arrival. The individual was located and arrested.
10)“Theft of Motor Vehicle” On 6/27, a resident reported their vehicle had been stolen from near the ‘F’ dock.
11)“Vehicle Prowl” On 6/29, SBM security discovered a vehicle had been prowled near the ‘B’ dock. A window had been smashed and several items taken from the vehicle.
The following occurred during the last week of June but no dates/times were given:
–Reckless Driving/DUI: Officer Schmidt observed a recklessly driven vehicle in front of the marina, going well above the speed limit. A stop was made and the driver was eventually arrested for DUI. Booked into jail.
–Malicious Mischief/Trespass: Security called to report two males unlawfully at the marina who had damaged a sign. Officers arrived and both suspects fled on foot. One suspect was caught. The suspect who was caught was cited and released due to jail restrictions.
–Vehicle Theft: Officer Dacey investigated a vehicle theft from the parking lot.
–Theft of License Plates: Officer Perreira investigated a theft of license plates from the parking lot.

As always, tenants are encouraged to stay vigilant & report ANY suspicious activity to the Port of Seattle Police. **Please remember, IF AN INCIDENT ISN’T REPORTED it’s like IT NEVER OCCURRED. If you want to see better security at Shilshole PLEASE report everything and contribute to the stats. The numbers speak volumes.
