SLA Annual Meeting

Thursday evening was the annual meeting of the Shilshole Liveaboard Association.  The weather was perfect and we had about 60 people that came out to enjoy a hot dog and meet their neighbors. Dockside Mail, The Fuel Dock, and Seattle Sailing Club graciously donated gift certificates for the free raffle. Thank you!

The SLA is a neighborhood association to foster education, safety and community with the liveaboards at Shilshole Bay Marina.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact your Dock Captain (whose information is posted inside every gate).

Fishermen’s Fall Festival, Sept 30th

The Festival provides families with a fun and educational outing on the waterfront as well as an opportunity to learn more about seafood. Hands-on art projects with fishing themes, including the popular wooden boat building and “Fishing for Fun” fish pond, are complementary for all children and admission to the Festival is free. Proceeds from the activities within the Festival are donated to the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation to assist families of fishers lost at sea.
