City considering metered parking on Seaview..
Scott Kubly, Seattle Department of Transportation Director, is looking to find more ways to charge for parking in Ballard. “Riding down Shilshole – we could make a mint on weekends,” he wrote in a note to staff.

- Second and fourth Wednesdays April through September at 7 p.m.
Anthony’s HomePort at Shilshole Bay will be closing.
The restaurant’s final day will be Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.
Ballard District Council Monthly Meeting-Mar. 9th
The Ballard District Council represents the Ballard Neighborhood-one of 13 neighborhood districts formed in 1988 to promote, support, and involve citizen participation at the neighborhood level.
Meetings are held the 2nd Wed of each month, 7-8:30 pm at the Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW). There is no cost to attend and there is free parking below the library-accessed from NW 56th St.
The public is welcome to come observe the proceedings. Discussions include traffic/pedestrian safety issues, parks, and Ballard community events/successes/challenges. The Shilshole Liveaboard Assoc. holds a permanent seat on the Council.

DINGHY PARADE/SOLSTICE PARTY
Thank you to all that participated in last nights Solstice Party!
Unfortunately, due to the nasty weather at 4pm, the parade didn’t happen . It did clear out by 5:30, but by then everyone had made their decision.
We had about 25 people at CYC for the party afterwards…great to meet new faces. Thank you to all that brought a potluck item to share and for everyone’s generosity that filled a large tub of food donations for the Ballard Food Bank!
