A big thank you …

…to the Shilshole Bay Marina staff for putting on their annual Customer Appreciation Holiday Party last evening. It was a great turnout and fun to see and visit with the neighbors and staff.  The marina looks terrific with all the decorated boats, and The Christmas Ships are always a nice holiday tradition!

Ballard “17th of May Parade”- 6pm

Norwegian Constitution Day is the official National Day of Norway, celebrated on the 17th of May. Among Norwegians, the day is referred to simply as “Syttende Mai” (17th of May) or Grunnlovsdagen (The Constitution Day).

The parade begins at the corner of NW 62nd and 24th Avenue NW. The route follows south to Market Street and eastward to Bergen Place park, then turns right onto 22nd and continues south down Ballard Avenue and ends at Lone St.

Weekly SBM crime stats.

These are the “Significant Event” stats for Shilshole Bay Marina covering 3/11 1730 hours to 3/18 1730 hours as reported by Officer Hilgers of the POSPD. Please tune into the vMan net  on vhf ch.71 at 8pm Mondays for further information from the POSPD 

1)Suspicious vehicle reported on 3/13 at 2027 hours.  Reported there was a suspicious blue BMW in the parking lot.  Vehicle was not located.

 2) Attempted theft/borrowing reported on 3/12 at 0836 hours.  An individual in an RV had taken a dock cart for their personal use.  The subject complied with the request to return the cart.  The subject was also warned about using water/electricity from SBM.

3) Suspicious subject reported on 3/13 at 2107 hours.  An individual was contacted by the M Building and departed the property.

4) Suspicious subject reported on 3/15 at 1325 hours.  A subject was rolling around in a grassy area and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.  An area check was negative for the subject.

5) Lewd conduct reported on 3/17 at 1546 hours.  A subject had urinated on the recycling bins and departed southbound.  The subject was not located.

6) Boat trespass reported on 3/18 at 0739 hours.  A boat was moored illegally.  Harbor master did not recognize the boat and rules and regulations were explained to the owner who moved the boat.

7) Medical call reported on 3/17 at 2151 hours.  An individual required medical assistance.  Seattle Fire responded and after being treated medically departed the area.
