Where are Shilshole Rate Increases Posted?
The Port of Seattle reviews their rates usually in the summer months and posts them by November to take effect at the first of the year. Do you have issues on your dock?
This coming Wednesday, February 1st, is our first meeting of the Dock Captains for 2023. If you have any issues on your dock that you think the Port needs to address, please let your Dock Captain know as soon as possible. Their contact information is posted at the head of each gate on the inside bulletin board.

A Big Thank You…
…to Stephanie, Darrell and all the staff at SBM and the Port of Seattle that provided a wonderful evening of food, holiday lights competition and customer appreciation for the tenants of Shilshole. This was a nice change from the 2 years of Covid lockdown and was well attended.

Large Locks will be empty-take the kids to see!
Hiram M. Chittenden Locks – Ballard Locks
Our large lock will be closed from 6:00 am, Nov. 8, 2022, for dewatering and maintenance.
The small lock will, however, still be used for navigation purposes for vessels less than 120 feet in length and 26 feet in width throughout this maintenance period. Here’s the order of priority for vessels:
Emergency
Government,
Commercial, then
RecreationalMariners may experience delays, depending on passage demand.
The large lock will reopen 8:00 p.m. Nov. 23.
Thanks for your patience as we complete our much-needed annual maintenance work.
Halloween Follow-up
A big thank you to all that participated, carved pumpkins and lit up their displays! The weather cooperated and we had a great turnout.
