Saturday morning’s snow…
A big “thank you” to the Port for using the snow blowers to clear the docks during the day and having snow shovels available to check out!

We have some cold weather in the forecast and it may or may not contain snow, but it’s the time of year to always be prepared…
Here is Seattle’s plowing priority map…
Sometime between last Thursday, February 4 and today, Monday February 8, the catalytic converter for my car, a Toyota Prius was stolen. We are under siege. I’m told four catalytic converters from Prius’ were stolen in the last two weeks.
This was two rows away from E dock. Continue reading
Tues. evening was the quarterly meeting between the Dock Captains and the Port/Marina staff. It is an opportunity for the Port to share any construction, security or other marina news with us and for the Dock Captains to relay any tenant and dock issues to them.
(Dock Captains…please feel free to share these notes with your dock mates.)
This is our community, and as liveaboard residents, it is incumbent upon us to “know our neighbors”.
When you see someone “new” on the dock or waiting to get in gate…whether guests of a neighbor or a new tenant that has just moved in, greet them/introduce yourself.
Some will say the name of the boat or owner they are visiting…go ahead and make friendly small talk, which will show you are aware of their presence. If they are looking around, ask them “can I help you find someone?” Some will say they are new to the dock…please welcome them! Chat ’em up!
Some will get defensive/won’t answer you (they probably tailgated through the gate) or will say they are “just looking at boats”. Kindly say to them that they need to check in with the office before coming onto the docks-whether doing maintenance or looking at boats for sale. The marina contact numbers are posted at the gate.
If you have any concerns about someone unknown on the dock, immediately call the marina cell number (206-601-4089) and security will be there within minutes to take over.
Be aware. Ask questions. Your neighbors will thank you!

This is the email sent to all tenants today, in case you didn’t see it. Please complete the short survey and let them know any issues. You can also share feedback of the new restrooms/laundry at Shilshole-Outreach@portseattle.org
We Want to Hear from You
It goes without saying that 2020 was an exceptional year for the Port of Seattle and for you. Our team at Shilshole Bay Marina has been challenged in so many ways including office closure, sanitation requirements, and remote work.
Our highest priority has been to serve you by continuing operations, providing excellent customer service, and finishing construction of the new facilities and parking lot improvements.
We want to hear your feedback on how we’ve served your needs since March 2020. Please take this three-minute survey and tell us what you think.
Thank you, Recreational Boating Team
This year the Seattle Boat Show has gone virtual, with online deals with exhibiters and a variety seminars. When you visited shows in the past, sometimes the seminar wasn’t the day or time you were at the show. Now you can view them all! Keep checking back to their website to get the latest updates.
